For years every day in the life of Major Dan Anderson has gone the same. You reluctantly roll out of bed and head to the office while America sleeps. You get one cup of coffee, two sugars one cream, and a daily update on the day’s voting issues from one of your many analysts. Along with this update comes a public opinion poll predicting the outcome based on a sample size expected to accurately predict election results. The idea is that a significant deviation between the results of the poll and voting results would warn you about the possibility of meddling in voting. You then monitor the votes as they come in and review security reports from your analysts before leaving the office at 6pm, the end of the daily voting period. Your job is tedious and mind-numbing but crucial to the survival of the new democracy.

So far, twelve total policies came out far different than what could be expected. This is statistically significant and extremely concerning. You paced back and forth in your office, convinced that the voting system has been hacked. For weeks you have grown suspicious as more and more votes have differed from your polls.
